Arturo Perez Torres was born and raised in Mexico City. At 21 he moved to California where he graduated from SFSU film school in San Francisco. It was in that city where he met his wife, Heather. In 1999, they moved to Europe where Arturo received a Master’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Amsterdam.
For the last 7 years Arturo has worked in the advertising industry. He has directed several TV commercials and corporate videos for major European, American and Canadian corporations.
WETBACK - The Undocumented Documentary is his first feature documentary.
Today Arturo lives in Toronto with his wife, 2 year old daughter and two cats.
