About the Utah Geographic Alliance
The Utah Geographic Alliance (UGA) is an organization of K-16 educators, pre-service teachers, professional geographers, and community members committed to the enhancement of geography education in Utah schools and geographic literacy for Utah's students.
Our Mission
The focus of the Utah Geographic Alliance is to improve geographic literacy in Utah. This is done through professional development opportunities for educators and learning opportunities for students that promote and combine quality geography content with relevant inquiry skills. The UGA targets both the adult and youthful learner, enhancing education of Utah students as we continue to prepare to enter and contribute in today's diverse and ever changing world.
