A teacher armed with a computer, wideband ISP, and a projector with THX 5.1 Surround Sound would be able to teach better and faster then ever before. For one example, the technology exists to enable classrooms to participate in real time with deep sea dives by the Jason project while they are happening. Another example would be Docent enabled tours of zoos and aquariums, where the students could ask questions, and through their teacher get them answered by an expert.

My high school is looking for another school who can work in collaboration with a learning project about social issues around International Studies and Golbalization. We are a 1600, 9-12th grade public school located in the Los Angeles area. We have a small learning community and have four academies focussed on: Business, Marketing and Finance, Performing Arts and the Freshman Academy. We are also a Talent Develpoment High School from a program by the John Hopkins University funded by the Bill Gates Foundation. This collaborative partnership will benefit both schools (domestic and international) in advocating and preparing our students to compete in a globalized world. Please contact me at iskolar1 @aol.com. Thank you. Conrad Ulpindo
